A Brief Insight to Visishtadvaita Philosophy
Eternal bliss in Sri Vaikuṇṭham
On attaining moksham, the aathma gains unrestricted access to Paramapadam or Sri Vaikuṇṭham, which is the highest realm attainable, according to Vishishṭādvaita Philosophy. It is said that upon reaching Paramapadam, the aathma enjoys four experiences eternally. These four experiences are called:
Sālokya: Being able to live in the same world as the Lord.
Sārūpya: Having the same appearance as the Lord with Chaturbhujam, Shanku, Chakram, Gadha, and Padmam.
Samipa: Always being near the Lord.
Sāyujya: Being able to partake in the Lord's bliss and enjoy it just the same as Him.
The Dharmabhuta Jnānam achieved in Paramapadam is eternal and complete. The Lord restores to the new muktha-aathma eight qualities, i.e.
i) Being free from any sin
ii) Being free of any aging
iii) Being free of death
iv) Being free of sorrow
v) Being free of hunger
vi) Being free of thirst
vii) Being endowed with all that the muktha-aathma desires
viii) Finally, offering the muktha-aathma no return to samsaaram or bhu-lokam.
Therefore, the ultimate goal for any jeevaathma is to attain moksham or liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
Moksham or mukti provides what is known as Paripurna Brahmā-Anubhavam, which is a complete understanding of the Paramātma. We can understand the Lord's nature ( swarupa ), His delightful nature ( vigraha ), His auspicious qualities ( kalyana gunam ), His ability to put time on hold or let it run according to His will ( Leela Vibuti and Nithya Vibhuti ). The aathma's enjoyment is eternal and will always result in service to the Paramātma at all times under any given situation.
