The Eighth Day: Rathotsavam
In the morning comes the Rathotsavam, one of the most significant processions of the Brahmotsavam, in which the Lord is drawn through the streets of Tirumala in a great chariot pulled by His devotees. To witness this procession is believed to bring liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
In the evening the Lord rides the Ashva Vāhanam, the horse, which signifies speed, energy and readiness to protect dharma.
