Āzhwār Vaibhavam · Nam Āzhwār and Madhurakavi Āzhwār
Kaṇṇinuṇ Siruttāmbu
Madhurakavi composed the Kaṇṇinuṇ Siruttāmbu, a short prabandham of only eleven verses in praise of Nam Āzhwār, which holds a central place in the tradition. Madhurakavi carried the music of Nam Āzhwār's verses far and wide. It is said that in those days everyone, whether boatman, trader, chieftain or brāhmaṇa, attained a transcendent state simply by singing them.
