This kshethram is situated within the northern prakaram of the Ulagalantha Perumāl temple. This Lord is said to be a part of Ulagalantha Perumāl, symbolizing the first stage of Vāmana Avataram, which Neeramai, or a water-like behavior, characterizes. Just as water rushes towards the place where there is a small opening or hole, likewise, the Lord flows into the hearts of the bhaktas and fills their soul with bhakti.
