Sthala Puranam
This kshethram again does not have a particular sthala purāṇam of its own. This kshethram is closely related to Tiruneeragam and Tirukaaragam. Kaarvaanam means a sky filled with clouds. The world cannot survive without water, and clouds play a crucial role in bringing water to the world. Thus, the Lord standing here is an embodiment of rain clouds bringing rain to the world, helping it survive.
